Before hitting a solo career with her debut album, Carly Rae Jepsen has been a part of the music scene, albeit as an opening act for artists who were more established at the time. This includes being a part of Hanson’s “Shout It Out World Tour” as an opening act during Canadian dates in 2012. She also served as an opening act for Justin Bieber’s “Believe Tour” for North American, European, and South American dates, Hedley’s “Hello World Tour” during Canadian Dates, and for Katy Perry’s “Witness: The Tour”’s North American dates. This period ran from 2012-2018.
During this period, she had her first chance at a co-headlining tour when she joined Marianas Trench, The New Cities and The Mission District in the “Beside You Tour” in 2009.
But her first foray into touring as a headlining act came in 2013 with “The Summer Kiss Tour”. This tour is known as a success and was in support of her second studio album, Kiss. The Tour was viewed favorably and had positive reviews by fans and critics.
Her second tour, the “Gimmie Love Tour” ran from 2015-2016. This tour came after the waves Jepsen created with her mega successful singles and second album and was a commercial success. It faced positive reviews and most tour dates were sold out.
Her third tour, “The Dedicated Tour” was in support of her album by the same name. It ran from 2019-2020 and was met with positive rave reviews. And just like her previous review, many of the tour dates were sold out or nearly sold out.
Finally, she’s currently preparing for her “The So Nice Tour” which is set to begin on September 21, 2022 at the Jacobs Pavilion in Cleveleand. The tour is set to run until a show at November 5 at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. Many of these tour dates are supported by Empress Of, except for the first two tour dates which will be joined by the band, Bleachers.
